City: Mission Valley

it. Noted for several large shopping malls and auto dealerships,
Interstate 8 also runs through its length, soon to be followed
by a new segment of the San Diego Trolley. Named for Mission San
Diego founded by Junipero Serra in 1769, which was originally
located at what is now Presidio Park.
The mission was moved to its present location at the east end
of Mission Valley on San Diego Mission Road in 1774. Since its
restoration in 1931, it has been a functioning parish church.
Formerly pasture land, the valley is now dominated by businesses,
including the Union-Tribune Publishing Co. (that includes us!),
with a number of condominium and apartment complexes and an area
known as Hotel Circle.
Also the home of San Diego's Jack Murphy Stadium. A neighborhood
of the city of San Diego. ZIP Code: 92108. Population: 9,681.
